Thanks for looking and have a great evening!
It may be hard to tell, but the tissue paper has silver specs in it which adds some extra bling. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

My oldest has 2 cats and a dog. She has had the cats since she was in college and adopted them from the vet she worked for. They are both mischievous and always racing through the house. One is gray and the other is yellow so I used those colors for my cats. Since I made a bookmark for Michaela last week I knew I needed to make one for Jessica this week. Both my girls love to read so this a perfect idea for them.
I used this cute stamp from Penny Black and stamped the first cat. Then I masked it and stamped the second one. Here is the card for Jessica.

When making masculine cards you need to be careful of the ribbon you use as well as the accessories as some of them can be perceived as feminine. Think about using raffia, grosgrain, or twill for ribbon. Buttons are also a good accessory that gives a card a more casual appearance. I think guys like a little bling also so using glitter paper is a good way to add that sparkle. Here is my second card for the challenge.

The Penny Black Challenge this week was to create a masculine card without using blue. I borrowed Kay's cute frog stamps and found this great patterned paper in my DCWV Glitter Stack to go with it. Here is one of the cards I came up with.

I am working on another one for tomorrow so check back to see what I came up with. Thanks for looking and have a great evening!

I have been following a blog of Penny Black Challenges. This week the challenge is to make a girly card. With 2 girls this was very easy for me. I used this stamp called Ecarte, Splits, Pirouette:

At 11 PM the challenge involved a new technique that I had not used. We were to create a brayered batik background to put jungle animals on. I really like the look of the background and will play with it some more for different looks.
The final challenge of the evening was to use a stamp set you had not used within the last 4 months. I pulled out a set that I just love but had never used before. I really like this card and can see me creating more to have on hand.
Here are my cards.
Stamps: Wild About You, Bamboo ll background (retired) Paper: Creamy Caramel, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Watercolor paper Ink: Autumn Leaves spectrum pad, Basic Gray, Versamark Accessories: Creamy Caramel - Garden Green markers, clear embossing powder, phot corner punch, zoo brads (Gina K Designs), brayer, water spritzer, dimensionals
Stamps: Seeds of Kindness Paper: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, white Ink: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery Accessories: dew drops, Sakura Stardust gel pen, ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), sticy tape, dimensionals
For those of you who have stuck with me and checked my blog each day I thank you for your support. I enjoy sharing my creations with you even if you don't leave me comments! I hope I have inspired you to try new things and that even if your card doesn't turn out like you think it should have that it's okay and you can still send it as it is an original and the person who receives it will think it is beautiful! Thanks for looking and have a great day!
