I had not done the Penny Black Challenge in quite some time and when I saw this weeks challenge I knew I had just the image to do this one. I had this image with the cute hedgehog in a lounge chair under a daisy. This image just reminds me of spring and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful days.

I did receive and award several weeks ago that I forgot to post. Tania sent me this award and I was so excited but life was busy and I didn't get a chance to post it and we all know what happens with age and our memories. Well I remembered today and had to go searching through all my comments to find it. It is the Hug award. Here is the award and rules.
1. Link to the person who gave you the award,
2. Post the award on your blog,
3. Name 10 new recipients, and
4. Notify them they are recipients.
Here my recipients:
Faith - love her colored images
Asela - does a great job of explaining how to use colored pencils
Jan - always makes me laugh with her posts
Sharon - has some great quick card ideas
Ramona - very pretty elegant cards
Anna - does some great vintage cards
Laurie - elegant cards
Charmaine - creates cute cards
Amy - her use of color is very striking
Samantha - does an amazing job with punches
Check out these blogs for some inspiration. I get so many ideas from each of these ladies.
Check back tomorrow for a card. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I began by stamping several roses with Versamark Ink and embossing with gold embossing powder. I the cut the roses out in various layers. Before I assembled the roses I used a sponge dauber and Bravo Burgundy ink to sponge the edges for some depth.
I chose my colors for the challenge on the Colour Create blog. This week we were to use red and green. I didn't want to do a Christmas card since that is what we think of when we say red and green so I thought it would be fun to do the rose.
Stamp TV has a Potluck Friday Challenge. The challenge varies and can deal with anything. This week the challenge was to use another tool beside the Nestabilities. I have the Creative Memories cutting system so I pulled out the hexagon and went with it. I used the largest shape they had and then used my layering tool to add the red and green layer in the same shape. To do the leaves on the background, I inked the stamp up with Garden Green and did a second generation stamping so they would be lighter.
I had planned on using a sketch challenge to assemble the card, but in my excitement to finish the card I used my own layout. Oh well, I guess I will just have to create another card using the sketch. I have run my mouth enough. Here is my creation.

Did you ever have a patterned paper that you weren't sure how to use. Well I got 2 of those in the DCWV Spring Stack two years ago. The St. Patrick's Day paper is very busy and not my style. I am attempting to use them on my cards for some variety.
