Zoie Claire Vance is here!

Hi Ladies!

I just wanted to let you know that Zoie made her debut on March 30, 2011 at 3:19 p.m.  She weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce and was 22 inches long.  Mom and baby are doing fine.  She is beautiful but I may be a little prejudiced.  Here is one of my favorite pics I have taken so far.

I have a post for tomorrow so check back.  Thanks for looking and have a great evening!

Hand Stamped Tuesday

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I will be heading to my daughter's today.  They are going to induce her tomorrow.  Her blood pressure has been up and since she is technically full term they figure it is best to get things moving along for her safety and the baby's.

We have a great challenge this week.  You are to make a shadow box card.

There is also a great tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers  that explains how to make one.

I have to admit this one is not one of my best cards.  I think my mojo was missing on this one.  Maybe it is my hectic schedule with trying to get ready for the baby.  I hope so.  Here is what I created.

I am thinking my back or front piece should have been a color rather than both pieces the same white.

I will not have a post tomorrow - unless the baby comes early and then I will post pics for you to see her.  The same is true for Thursday.  I do have a card for Friday.

Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers Animal Challenge

Good Morning!

We have a great challenge over at Late Night Stampers this week.  This week you are to use an animal image on your card.  It has been a while since I used the cute hedgehog from Fun and Fast Notes.  I pulled him out to use with the color challenge at Create, Ink!

I combined it with the sketch challenge at Creative Sketches.

 Here is my creation.

Scrapbook Sunday

Good Morning Stampers!

Quick post as I am at my daughter's this weekend.  We needed to finish up a few things for the nursery.  Ran out of fabric for both projects so I will be buying more and finish up next week when I am up here again.

I have the next double page spread for Bijou's scrapbook to share with you.  This one is all about how she likes to sleep just about any where.  Here are the pages.

Sketch Frenzy Friday Wedding Sweet

Good Morning!

Well no baby yet.  I have been swamped trying to get some loose end tied up before the baby gets here.  I just need to make it through next Wednesday and then I will be home free.

We have a great sketch created by Jennifer Weide.

I was so glad to see it was a clean and simple sketch as I was able to create the card fairly quickly.  Here is what I created.

Are you ready to see what the rest of the team created?  Your next stop is Ros Davidson's blog.  Hop on over there to see her card.

I am up at my daughter's this weekend so I won't have a card tomorrow.  I do have my scrapbook share for Sunday so check back to see it.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Late Night Stampers Color Challenge

Good Morning Stampers!  Happy Spring!

Well no baby yet, but I am certain it will be soon from all the signs she has had.

This week at Late Night Stampers we have a color challenge.

These are great colors and I combined it with the sketch challenge at Stamping 411.

Sunday Scrapbook pages

Good Morning Stampers!

Well ladies I thought yesterday was the day that I was going to be a grandma but it was a false alarm.  I think that little lady is going to make her appearance very soon!  She is just toying with her mother and giving her a hard time.  I think Jess is in for a fun time with this young lady!

I took some time yesterday to work on some of my commitments for my design teams just in case I get the phone call.  I am hoping to do one more tomorrow and then my postings for the week would take care of my design team posts.  It may mean there a few days where I don't post since those are free days.

Today's post is for my scrapbook resolution.  I did another 2 page spread for Bijou's book.  These picture always make me smile.  She still helps me out with making up the bed! :)  Here are my pages.

Hope you enjoyed my pages today.  I will be spending my day working on my class.  Hope you have a Sensational Sunday!

Some more Black Magic with a twist

Good Morning Ladies!

Quick post as I have the last of my stamp-a-stack classes today.  I wanted to share the other 2 cards that will be part of my Black Magic with a twist technique class.

second card

Boy the orange in that first one is really bright.  It is Tangarine Tango so it isn't that bright.  Hope you liked my cards today.  Well I need to run and get ready.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Good Morning Ladies!

Well we have another great sketch this week.  This one was done by Deb Currier.

This week has been very busy and I barely had time to breathe.  I went for a quick and simple card.  Here is my creation.

Simple and Elegant

Good Morning Ladies!

I had planned to share the other 2 cards I was using for my Black Magic with a twist technique but I had a challenge card that I needed to post so the other 2 Black Magic cards will be up on Saturday.

I saw a beautiful color combination at The Paper Players that I had to use.

Aren't these colors gorgeous together?  I realized that I was supposed to use Very Vanilla, but I used white as I thought my colors popped more.  I combined it with the sketch challenge at Card & Things

Thinking about this technique

Good Morning Stampers!

I needed to find a technique for my class next week.  I was thinking of one but then ran across this one and thought it might be a good one.

Have heard of Black Magic?  I first saw this technique done by Karen Barber.  She does one called Black Magic with a twist.  I thought it would be a good one for next week.  Here is one of the cards the ladies can choose to do.

So what do you think of this card?  I was inspired by the way Sandy MacIver colored her Black Magic card and based my card on her coloring.

I have 2 others that I need to finish and will post tomorrow.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments Pansies

I have been watching a lot of You Tube videos lately to get some ideas for mini scrapbooks.  One lady I watch quite a bit uses lots of flowers on her albums.  One of the ideas she suggested is to use silk flower sprays you can buy.  I decided to try that on this card.

Our challenge this week is to use the Spring photo for inspiration.

I loved this picture and it makes me think of all the beautiful flowers you see in the spring.  One of the first flowers you see, and one of my favorites, is the pansy!  I had picked up some pansy silk flower sprays the other day and I thought it would be fun to use them.

I found a great sketch at The Stamp-a-holics.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qLBONNwmRx0/TXk7OSzXh2I/AAAAAAAAB1c/PiPRr94yt-U/s1600/SAH-160.jpg

Now all I need to do is create my card.  I had to find 3 papers to use as I was not going to create my own.  I used my pansies to determine my colors.  I wanted to use the yellow, the purple, and the razzleberry.  I turned to my designer series paper pack - this is a great deal as you get 4 sheets of each color in the color family - and found my paper.  Here is what my final creation looks like.

So, what do you think of my pansy card?  I love it!  I can't wait to send it to a special friend!  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Spring Double Embossing

Good Morning Stampers!

Well did you survive the Spring Forward?  It is always hard to loose an hour of sleep.  The adjustment takes me a few days to get used to.

My card today is for our challenge at Late Night Stampers - create an Easter/Spring project.  Well I know Easter is right around the corner but I cannot bring myself to make a card yet.  With that in mind, I went with a Spring card.

I saw a new technique at Technique Junkies.  It is called Double Bugging.  I decided to give it a try.  I love how it turned out but I am not sure I did the technique correctly.  Here is my creation.

After posting this I think I am going back and add some rhinestones or pearls for a little extra.  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday.

Bijou Scrapbook Sunday

Good Morning!

I have the next page in Bijou's scrapbook.  Are you getting tired of seeing them yet?  I am making great progress in the pictures I have developed and will soon have to move on to something else until I get more developed.

My page today uses a sketch challenge at Stamping 411.  I liked the sketch and thought it would be perfect for a layout.

 http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SZHCDzzwkg4/TXlJSTBlVCI/AAAAAAAAAUY/l8ZGma2ltpQ/s1600/SSC194.jpg

I had 3 photos of Bijou resting on pillows that I thought would be perfect for this layout.  Here is what I came up with.

Hope you enjoyed my page today.  I am so excited I have kept my New Year's Resolution to scrapbook at least once a week.  It has really helped with get my photos mounted and in a book.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Sorry for the late post.  My camera batteries died last night and I had to charge them.

I played with 2 challenges at the Inkspiration 4 You Ning community.

I combined it with the sketch challenge they also had.

This color combo is one of my favorites.  I love Rose Red with So Saffron.  I usually use Garden Green but I like the Pear Pizzazz also.  Here is my creation.

Hope you enjoyed my card today.  Come back tomorrow to a page I did for Bijou's scrapbook.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Sunny Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday Bliss - Take Two

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow my life is very hectic lately.  I will be glad when March is over.  I could be a grandma at any time.  Her due date is April 3 so we will see what the doctor says.

Today we have a great sketch created by Angela Walters.

She has actually done a few cards using the rounded corner idea and I wanted to give it a try.  This sketch lent itself to giving it a try.

I combined it with the color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-PQKjmsABeXQ/TXPz5UJ9zcI/AAAAAAAACrw/4h7s7_7y7dI/s1600/ppccolorcombo51.jpg

I used the Bliss stamp set and when I was posting this my title popped up.  When I checked I found out I had used this same set a few weeks ago.  I think if you check it out you will find it has an entirely different look than today's card.  Just goes to show how versatile our sets are.  Here is my creation.

Are you ready to continue on your journey?  Hope on over to Ros Davidson's blog to see what she did with this sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Not sure I did this technique right

Happy soggy morning Stampers!

Well we are getting ready for some major flooding this evening.  This is not what I need to hear since I have class tonight.

My card today uses the color challenge at Stamp-a-holics

My good friend Carole' Anne had a great technique the other day.  I thought it would be great to use her technique on my card for her group's color challenge this week.  I wanted to use the Charming set as I hadn't used it in a while.  I have to say the turquoise rectangle is the one that uses her technique and I am not sure mine turned out right - Carole' Anne if you read this let me know.  Here is my creation - be kind as it was my first try.

Make sure you let me know what you think of my attempt.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!
