Where did yesterday go?

Hello Stampers!

I cannot believe that yesterday came and went and I did not get a post up.  I have to say that I started teaching a graduate class last week and it has kept me hoping.  I am hoping to be able to post every day but as you can see it did not happen yesterday.  I hope you will continue to check in as I will do my best to post.

My post today was actually a project we did last night in our project class.  A couple of months ago we made a banner for Spring.  The ladies liked it so much they wanted to do a banner for each of the seasons.  Last night we made the Summer banner.  I was hoping to work along with the ladies to create mine but they kept coming up with ideas to put on it that I spent my time coming up with the items for them to put on their panels.  When it was all done, Frannie was good enough to let me take me some pics of hers.  Here is what hers looked like.

I can't wait to finish mine!  I am hoping to work on it this weekend but I am not sure I will have the time.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - Charming

Good Morning Stampers!

Quick post as I am so far behind this week.  Before I get to my creation today I wanted to let you know that one of my cards was chosen as a runner up.  I had used a color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations and my card was chosen as a runner up.  Here is the badge I received.

Now on the my creation.  Our challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments  is to use charms on your creation.

My assignment was to create a set of 3 x 3 cards and a box for them.  I took the charm and added some beads from my jewelry supplies to make the dangle from the box.  I also used the island floral die to make my cards.  Here is what I created.

Hope you enjoyed my creation today.  Hop on over to the blog and check out some of the other creations from the design team.  Then grab your supplies and create your own "charm"ing creation.

Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Another late post

Evening Ladies!

I had so hoped to have my post ready this morning but I ran into a little trouble not to mention Zoie was too cute not so spend time with.

Speaking of Zoie, here is the photo I took last night.  Warning this is a cuteness alert!

Isn't she soooooo cute!!!!!!!  She is such a delight and spent a lot of time last night staring at my ceiling fans and talking to me.  We had a lot of fun!

Okay on to the Scrapbook Sunday share.  I worked on the inserts for Michaela's San Fran scrapbook.  Since it was made out of a paper bag, you have the space inside the bag for a photo mat.  Here are the ones I created.

I have only made 3 paper bag pages so far.  If I need more pages I will add them.  These mats will allow her to add 6 photos.  Hope you enjoyed my share even if it was late.

Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday evening!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Simply Soft

Good Morning, it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And that means another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge.

Our sketch this week was created by Kim Innis.

This was an interesting sketch to work with.  The sketch is a square and I do not do square cards unless I can fit it into a regular envelope.  So I changed the layout to make it a rectangle card.

For this one I began with the new patterned paper Pocketful of Posies that you can get beginning July 1.  From there I went looking for a set to use with it for the center image.  I settled on a new hostess set Simply Soft.  Once I had my card designed I had to find a sentiment.  I turned to a retired set for my sentiment.  Here is my final creation.

Well since this is a blog hop you need to head on over to Sharon Field's blog Created by You.   I am sure she will have an awesome creation for you.  After seeing all the great cards we hope you will play along with us and create your own card using the sketch and then share it with us on the blog.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Paisley Petals Again

Good Morning Stampers!

Well the week is almost over.  Still lots to do so busy, busy, busy.

My card today uses some more of the paper I used yesterday.  This time I combined it with Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.  I really like how it turned out.

I used the sketch challenge at Stamping 411

 http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EosagWLRAGw/TfvYt2kliWI/AAAAAAAAF3A/bkdrZjo8fFs/s1600/ssc208.jpg

I flipped the sketch to make it work for the stamp I wanted to use.  Here is what I created.

Catalog Dinner 3 x 3

Good Morning Ladies!

I had my catalog dinner last night.  The ladies came for salad and bread and to get their new catalog.  This is my second year of doing a dinner (last year we had lasagne).  Last year we did new color swatches of all the cardstock colors since they changed the colors.  This year we did a 3 x 3.  I used a new stamp and new paper that we could actually order in April.  Here is the card we made.

Hope you liked my simple 3 x 3.  The ladies loved it.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Stars and Stripes

Good Morning Ladies!

It is Tuesday and that means it is Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge day.  We have a great challenge today.  Our challenge is to create a 4th of July card and a 3D item.

I have to admit I was stumped as to what to do for the 3D item.  Then I remembered doing stars using a SU pattern several years ago and thought I would created a star banner using it.  It wasn't as hard as I thought.  Here is my card and banner.

Late Night Stampers Animal Challenge

Good Morning Stampers!

We have an animal challenge this week at Late Night Stampers.  You can use any animal image on your card.  I don' t have many animal stamps and at the end of the month when this set retires I will have even fewer.  I used the cute bird from Fun and Fast Notes for my card.

I started with the color challenge at Create, Ink.

ColorChallenge45

I combined it with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday

Scrapbook Sunday - Michaela's San Fran

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I am headed home today. It is a busy week coming up for me as I have my catalog dinner, my technique class, and I start teaching my college course. I think I will be glad when Friday gets here.

I have the last of the pages of Michaela's scrapbook finished. They are rough as I need to trim some of the pieces as well as glue some of the flaps down. After that I need to make the journal elements, add embellishments, make the cover and back, and then bind it. I think it will be really nice when I get it finished. Here are the pages I did yesterday (she helped me with selecting the papers for the pages since it is her scrapbook).

Hope you enjoyed my pages today.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Late Post

Sorry for the late post ladies.  I totally forgot to schedule my post last night.  Must have been because I was tired after a day of shopping with my girls.  I did pick up a few good things.

My card today uses Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CuUYauBQ4os/TfXqNhkyrlI/AAAAAAAAF1k/eNE3WsdPJz0/s1600/TSSC178.jpg

For my card I used some of the new dsp paper that will be available starting in July for the background.  This was actually a piece left over from the end I cut off of the strip for another card earlier.  Mr. Brown brought me some new goodies earlier this week and I order the Fabulous Florets set.  I saw so many beautiful cards using this set that I had to have it also.  I used the poppy for the center of my image and inked it up with markers.  Here is my creation.

inside of card

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  This is also a blog hop.  If you look below you will see the other cards created for Mary Jo's challenge.  You can click on any of the thumbnails and they will take you to the person's blog so you can see their card.  There are some fabulous entries.  Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Good Morning Stampers!

It's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  That means we have another Sketch Frenzy challenge for you.

Our sketch this week was created by Jennifer Weide

When I saw this I thought it would be fairly easy to do.  I found a great color challenge at Picture Perfect Creations

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wKpcwx_zb1I/Tcg-Qp6KNUI/AAAAAAAAC2c/2EDuBWOCn48/s1600/ppccolorcombo62.jpg

Now all I need to do is make my card.  I thought it would be neat to use the Charming set as the main image  and the word panel as a background.  The problem with that is that the colors are too bold for it and if you offstamp it, it is either too dark or too light not matter how many times you stamp it.

Then I had a bright idea to stamp it on a window sheet.  Well that didn't work as the ink wouldn't dry and it smeared even though I had used my heating tool.  Then I thought about embossing it.  When I did that the Razzleberry almost faded away.  When I laid it on top of the stamped image you can hardly see it.  I do like it though.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Now it is time to hop on over to Sharon Field's blog to see what she did with the sketch.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!
