Anyone ready for a picnic?

Good Morning Stampers!

When I saw the sketch challenge at Red Hot Stampers I wasn't certain what I was going to do.

I started looking in my catalog for a shape to use for the flower shape.  I saw the strawberry in Best of Everything and the rest of the card fell into place.

I thought it would be fun to use the stripes embossing folder and create a checkerboard like a picnic tablecloth.  The I just needed to add my strawberries and a sentiment.  Here is my final creation.

I hope you enjoyed my picnic theme today.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Regal Rose

Happy Mid Week!

Don't you just love short weeks!  Can you believe the week is half over?  Lots to do by the weekend.  How about you?

It is our day for our chat group color challenge.  Our challenge this week was to use Regal Rose so our 2 choices were Regal Rose, Early Espresso, and Daffodil Delight OR Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, Sahara Sand.  I chose to use the first combo.  I am the first stop on the blog hop.

I saw a fun technique on the Technique Junkies blog that I thought would be fun to use on this card.  Layered Masking was fun and I love how this card turned out.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  Now it is time to hop on over the Amanda's blog - Our Crafty Playdate to see which combo she used.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - Anything But a Card

Good Morning Ladies!

Our challenge today at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a little different than we have had in the past.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this challenge.  I received a Paper Wishes catalog in the mail and on the front of it was this picture.

I decided to give this a try and see if I could make a tag using this technique.  I had fun playing with color and ink to create 2 tags.  Here is what I created.

It was fun to find an inspiration some where and see if you can recreate it.  Give it a try.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers - Love is in the Air

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone had a a good holiday weekend and that you have some fun plans for today!  The weather here is still supposed to be hot.  Since I need a new grill I will not be cooking out today.

Over at Late Night Stampers we have a Wedding/Love theme this week.  Since I just did a wedding card a few weeks ago I decided to go with the Love theme.  I don't have any stamps for wedding or love that carried over to the new catalog.  I had to do some creative thinking for this one.  I decided to go for a color that would be associated with Love.  Here is my creation.

The color I used is the one of the new In Colors.  I love Raspberry Ripple!  What do you think of it?  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

Warning - Cute Card!

Wow what is your weather like today?  We are supposed to be hot and humid this weekend.  Perfect time to stay inside and stamp away!

Wow have you seen the new catty yet?  There are some great stamp sets and ds paper in there.  I got some in my preorder and wanted to play with it to use on another of my workshop card.  I started my card with the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' On Tuesday

I decided to flip this sketch as I had a new set to me that I wanted to use.  This set is in our current catalog and was on my wish list.  When it carried over I decided to order it and use it in my workshop as it is a cute set.  I also love this paper!  This one is called Floral district.  Here is my creation for this challenge.

The Last of the Floral Fillers cards

As you know each morning I chat with a great group of ladies in  Donna's Butternut Sage Designs Morning Chat.  Our challenge this time was to make a red, white, and blue card. You should check out the challenge on Donna's blog as there are some great samples there.

My card today is the last one I created using the Floral Fillers stamp set.  It was fun showing my customer how to use this set in a variety of ways.

I used a previous sketch from Stampin' Queen's Sketch Challenge

I love the stripes embossing folder and thought I would try making colored stripes with it.  Here is my creation.

I think I will send this card to my son-in-law as he serves in the Marines.  I think he will enjoy it.  Thanks for looking and have a Sensational Sunday!

Sketch Frenzy Friday - Growing Green

Second Post - scroll down for the first

I cannot believe what I did.  I have been so busy lately making cards for several events coming up that I totally missed my card for Sketch Frenzy Friday.

When our fearless leader Tammy sent out an e-mail asking who was posting I told her I had forgotten the challenge but would go make a card right away.  I was doubly embarrassed when I looked at the sketch and it was mine.  I cannot believe I did that.  But my mistake is your gain as this will be the second card for today.

So you know I did the sketch this week.  Here is my sketch.

Here is what I created with my sketch.

So are you ready to see some other cards with my sketch?  Head on over to Sharon Wheet's blog.  I am sure she has created a  great card for you to look at.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Some new paper!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Well are you ready for the long weekend?  This is also officially the beginning of the vacation season.  Are any of you headed to the beach?  I am planning on spending the weekend in my craft room working on some design team commitments as well as some challenges.

My card today uses the sketch at Cards & Things

I wanted to make another card we will use at my June workshop and I decided to use this sketch for one of them.  I also wanted to introduce the ladies to some of the new In Color cardstock and ds paper so I decided to use some on this card.  Here is what I created.

I really like this paper with these colors.  This is the new Comfort Cafe ds paper and the blue is the new Midnight Muse.  You cannot tell but I also embossed the bottom scallop.  Hope you enjoyed my card.  Have a Fabulous Friday!

Another Stamping 411 card

Hello Everyone!

I had another card I used the sketch at Stamping 411 to create.

I had a club meeting on Sunday and the hostess wanted me to use the Floral Fillers set as she did not know what to do with it.  I created several cards with it.  A few I have shared but used it for this sketch also.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I had fun with this set.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Melon Mambo

Hello Ladies!

Well our chat group has another color challenge from the Color Coach.  This week we had to use Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise OR Melon Mambo, Old Olive, and Elegant Eggplant.

I needed a card for my catalog dinner tonight so I decided to use the color challenge and combine it with the sketch challenge at Stamping 411

I wanted to use one of the new sets in the new catty.  In my preorder I got the Betsy's Blossoms set and knew it would be a good one to use.  I saw in my surfing where someone had stamped the big blossom and embossed it and I loved the look so I decided to use that technique on this card.  Here is the card the ladies will make tonight when they have dinner and get their new catalog.

Our chat group is doing a blog hop so make sure you check out the next blog.  Amanda's blog will have some great eye candy for you.  I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - masculine

Good Morning Everyone!

Since it is Tuesday we have another great challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I saw the cutest idea while surfing the internet one day.  Heidi at Two Happy Stampers created some great tools using punches.  I needed a card for my workshop next month and knew this one would be perfect.   Here is my version of her tools!

This will be one of the cards at my June workshop.  Don't you wish you were coming?  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers - masculine

Happy Monday Stampers!

I had a great few days with Zoie.  All my pictures are on my phone so I will e-mail them to myself so I can post them.

Over at Late Night Stampers we have a masculine challenge this week.  We are to create a card, scrapbook page, project, or anything else that has a masculine look to it.  I don't have many masculine stamp sets that are current so I had to really do some thinking.

I wasn't sure where to begin so I went searching for a sketch and found one at Cards and Things

I had some of the Well Worn ds paper so I combined it with the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and the above sketch and here is my creation.

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed my card.  With Father's Day coming will you need a masculine card?  What can you create?  Share it with me I would love to see what you did.

Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!

VC Rocks - Have a Heart blog hop

Hello Everyone!

Wow the weekend is here and the weather is supposed to be gorgeous!  Do you have some fun plans for the weekend?

This weekend the VC Rocks is having a blog hop.  Our theme was Have a Heart so we had to use a heart on our project.  You should have arrived here from Tania's blog.  I am sure she had some beautiful eye candy for you.

For my card I used the Floral Fillers set again.  I wanted the focus to be the heart so I used a clean and simple design.  I stamped the heart with real red and then used markers to color in a few of the leaves and flowers.  I added a little bling to the center of one of the flowers.  Here is what I created.

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Now it is time to hop on over to Kimber's blog to see what she created for our blog hop.    Thanks for looking and have a Great Weekend!

Sketch Frenzy Friday -

Happy Friday Stampers!

Well I am babysitting Zoie again today.  I will let you know what kind of fun we had the past 2 days on Monday.

Friday means it is Sketch Frenzy time.  Our sketch this week was created by Patrice Herrera.

I wasn't certain what I was going to do with this sketch but the hostess of my club on Sunday asked if I could use this set and give her some ideas.  I decided to use this sketch for one of my cards.  Here is what I created.

So what did you think of my card?  Do you think my ladies will like it?  Now it is time to hop on over to Sharon's blog to see what she created.  Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

Hello Ladies!

Well the week is almost over.  Today I am babysitting Zoie.  Jess had to go into the office for a few days so I naturally volunteered to help her out!  I am planning on spending lots of time playing and getting kisses.

For my card today I used the sketch challenge at Stamping 411

I saw several cards using this sketch and loved them so I decided to try my hand at it.  I used some of the new ds paper called Floral District.   Here is what I created.

Isn't this a cherry card.  I love this color combo and will be using it again.  Thanks for looking and have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop

Good Morning Stampers!

As you know I do a Morning Chat with a group of very nice ladies.  We were talking one day and they said they sometimes struggle with choosing colors for their cards - in fact they admitted it takes them longer to choose colors that it does to actually make the card.  I suggested we use the color coach and do a challenge each week.  We decided to post a card each Wednesday and do a Blog Hop.  I am the first stop on the blog hop.

Last week we did the first 2 of the Brights colors.  Today we are doing the next color.  Our choice this week could be Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, and Pacific Point OR Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive.  I opted to use Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, and Pacific Point.

I am a member of an online group called VC Rocks - VC stands for Virtual Convention.  This group is only active a few months before convention and about 1 month after.  We do a lot of swapping, challenges, and even have a virtual roommate.  The challenge this week is to doodle on our cards so I am including doodling on my card. I found a great sketch at Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenges

Here is my creation.

I hope you like my doodled card today.  Now it is time to hop on over to Amanda's blog to see what she created for our challenge.  Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Sentiments - Emboss Resist

Good Morning Stampers!

Are you ready for a fun challenge?  This is one of my favorite techniques.  I love the look of the background when you are finished.  It is easy to do so give it a try and join us.

Our challenge this week is Emboss Resist

I used some pretty soft colors for my ink.  I love these colors together.  I also used a Technique Junkie technique for the flower image.  It is called Cascading Images.   Here is my creation.

So why don't you grab your ink and play with us this week?  I know you will love this technique.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

Late Night Stampers - using up ds paper

Happy Monday!

Our challenge this week at Late Night Stampers    was to use some of our retiring designer series paper on your card.  I have lots of paper that will retire on June 1 so this was a fun challenge since I did not have to worry about hoarding my favorite paper - yes I hoard my favorite until I know I have no chance to run out.  :)

I used a sketch challenge from Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge

SQSC27-004

I decided to make a masculine card for this one as I am again highlighting a retiring set.  I bought the Every Moment set for the daisy image.  Did I tell you the daisy is my favorite flower?  :)  There is another great image in there that is perfect for masculine cards.  I used it on this card.  Here is my creation.

inside of card and envelope

I hope you enjoyed looking at my creation!  Why don't you make a masculine card and share it with me?  Thanks for looking and have a Marvelous Monday!
