December Paper Pumpkin 2 Page Spread

Good Morning Stampers!

I had a chance to play with the December Paper Pumpkin again the other day.  This time I made a 2 page spread using one of the sheets.  Here are the pictures and the video is below them.

Coloring Down the Lines - Thank You

Hello Ladies!

Well I managed to make a card and do a video yesterday.  You will see my video tomorrow.  I am hoping to do some more videoing and make some cards today.  I need to get my cards for my workshop next week designed as well as a few other tasks done.  Hope I get it all done.

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week is a small hop as several of our ladies are on vacation.  This week we had some cool colors to choose from.

Stampin' Up color matches

I don't know about your area but our area has been very warm.  Some days we are near 70 degrees so this picture is so not representative of our weather right now.  I decided since our weather has been warm to use the colors to make some flowers.  I used the Botanical Gardens bundle to stamp and cut out some flowers.  After I cut out my flowers my plan was to use the little flower and stamp it in Tempting Turquoise.  I added my washi tape and large flowers but the thought of adding Tempting Turquoise flowers just did not set well.  I decided to use Crumb Cake for the flowers instead.  I decided to make this a Thank You card as I needed a few this month for customers who ordered from me.  Here is my final creation.

Bermuda Birthday

Good Morning Ladies!

Are you ready for the new year?  I have to get some things finished so I am ready for my next few months of classes.  I also need to get my planner finished so I can put it together.  I worked on some of it yesterday and managed to get my month dividers completed.  I know what other pages I need to get completed so I will try and do at least 2 of the pages tomorrow so I can get them copied.

I have another card I made before I got sick.  This one started with the sketch challenge at  Freshly Made Sketches

Since I needed some birthday cards, I decided to use this sketch to make a card.  I began with the Cherry on Top ds paper.  I combined it with the Sprinkles of Life photopolymer set and the Tree Builder punch.  I stamped my sentiment and then banner punched the ends. I mounted it on a piece of Bermuda Bay that I had punched the ends also.  Here is a simple birthday card.

I am finally back!

Hello Stampers!

Well have you wondered where I have been?  I got sick Christmas day and did not feel better until last night.  I got the same bug Zoie, Jess, and Remi had.  Chris came down with it on Saturday evening.  It is a quick bug but boy is it painful!  Your stomach feels like it is a punching bag.  Each of us had different symptoms but the stomach pains are the same.  I did a lot of sleeping!  I think I am back on the mend and hope to be able to spend some time in my craft room today.

I choose this challenge and did my card for it before Christmas on the premise that I would post it before.  Needless to say it did not happen.  For my card I choose a sketch at Crazy for Challenges

Their challenge is to choose one of the sketches they have had over the past year. and create a card for it.  I chose C4C208.  I liked the layout for this one and decided it would be a good one to use.  Here is my version of the sketch.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I hope you are enjoying this day with family!  I will be spending it with Jess, Chris, and the girls!  Zoie was so excited last night she had a hard time going to sleep so that Santa could come.  I was a long night for us!

Today I am sharing a simple card I made using that Santa image that I loved.  I kept it simple and just added lots of sparkle.  Here is another version of that card.

Thanks for taking time out of your holiday to visit me.  I will be relaxing with my family and enjoying time with my girls.  Have a Merry Christmas!

December Paper Pumpkin - not my favorite!

Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!

Well I have a few errands to run today and then when Jess and family on gone I will wrap a few gifts that I have left.

We have had so much rain over the past few days there are puddles in my yard!  I can't believe how much we have had.  Last night we even had a thunderstorm.  If all this rain had been snow we would have been snowed in for quite some time.  I will be glad to at least see the sun over the next few days!  Our temperatures are crazy also.  We are supposed to be close to 75 today which is a new record for our area.  I don't want to think about how bitter cold it will be in January and February.

Yesterday I finally got to check out the December Paper Pumpkin.  I have to say I do not need a calendar so I will be making other ideas with the contents.  Here is a video of my opening the box.

Since I am not in the need of a calendar I decided to make cards with my contents.  Here is my first card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you have some time to relax and enjoy the quiet of the day.  Have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines Wishes

Hello Stampers!

Well yesterday was rainy and dreary - a great day for crafting!  I did some cleaning, wrapped some presents, and did a little crafting.  I also took Bijou in for her teeth pulling.  They ended up taking out 10 teeth.  They had some problems getting an IV in.  They shaved the front leg and could not get it in there, so the shaved the other leg.  They still could not get it in there so they ended up using her back leg.  Her legs look horrible since they had to shave them.  She was still kinda groggy last night when I got her home so she was pretty subdued.

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  Our picture was a great one with some greenery, a big red bow, and some snow!  The only snow we will get is in our dreams!

Stampin' Up color matches

I recently used the Go Wild paper pad to create 48 cards.  I used the idea of one of those cards for my card for the challenge.  I wanted something that wasn't really Christmas so I used the mistletoe paper in Season of Cheer.  I needed an element on the left side so I pulled out my Striped Scallop framelets.  All I needed was a sentiment and a ribbon.  Here is my version of the other card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  My new cooktop is going to be installed today so I will be sticking close to home.  I think I will spend more time in my craft room.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Woodland Birthday

Good  Morning Everyone!

Well yesterday was a total wash!  I did not get into my craft room at all.  I had appointments in the morning and then in the afternoon Jess and I went to my sister's to sort through the items we had for Christmas for the girls.  We had to determine what Santa was bringing, what we were giving, and what we could put away for Birthday's (yes we had that much).  We got it done and now we are hoping to be able to wrap some gifts today as both girls will be gone.

Today I made another birthday card for a request I had.  I began with the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts challenge

PPA280

This was a simple sketch so I had to think of a way to step up the card.  I decided that the background needed to be embossed.  I pulled out the Woodland embossing folder as I wanted a masculine card.  After I embossed it I had to address the horizontal lines.  I pulled out my Go Wild ds paper stack and found a pattern I thought looked like hoof prints.  I cut 2 narrow strips and attached them across the bottom.  All I needed then was my sentiment.  Here is my creation based on this sketch.

Here are a few of my Chapsticks

Hello Stampers!

We have had some chilly weather over the weekend.  It was a lot colder than we had previously had.  It is supposed to warm up over the next few days.  We will be close to 70 degrees on Christmas Day!  This is crazy weather for this time of year.  I am not complaining as my electric bill will be a lot lower!

I need to work on a project for an upcoming class I am going to offer.  I have 1 month finished, another month started and I want to work on the third month.  If I am lucky I will be able to get the 4th month completed also!  Wish me luck!

Today I thought I would share a picture of some of the chapstick holders I made.  I had an order for 70 of these for a school staff.  Since they were also going to male staff I had to come up with a design that would be suitable for both male and female.  My best friend in Chicago, Amanda, suggested the cute mittens.  They turned out really cute and everyone loved them.

Thanks for visiting me today!  I will be in my craft room again today working ahead.  Yesterday I got all my Christmas cards addressed and will mail them today.  Want to have projects created for next week so I can have some play time!  Have a Marvelous Monday!

A Santa Stamp I have wanted to play with!

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe Christmas is only 5 days away?  I hope you have everything done you need to get done.  I still have to wrap presents and I am hoping to do that tomorrow when Zoie is at her grandmother's.  Once I put them under the tree she will be constantly asking who's present is this until she finds some of hers.  Oh the joy of having a little one in the house!  Makes Christmas extra magical!

Today I am sharing a card that has an image I have loved.  When I was at the craft weekend there was a lady there that had this stamp.  I stamped a few of the images so I could play with them.  I went looking for them the other day to play with them and it took me a while to find them.  I thought he would look so good surrounded with a green sparkly border.  Here is my first play with this stamp.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be working in my craft room again today to work ahead.  What will you be doing?  Have a Sensational Sunday!

Lagoon Birthday

Hello Everyone!

Well Zoie's Christmas program was a lot of fun. The kids had several songs to sing and even had a few poems they recited.  Here are a few pics of her.

I had a request for some birthday cards so I spent some time yesterday in my craft room working on some.  Today I am sharing one of the cards that I made yesterday.

I started with the sketch challenge at Match That Sketch

I decided to use some of the Moonlight ds paper.  I thought it would be fun paper to use.  I also used the new Party Punch Pack.  I combined it with the Amazing Birthday stamp set and the Build a Birthday stamp set.  Here is my final creation.

A Gift Bag Idea

Hello Ladies!

Well today we are going to see Zoie in her Christmas program.  She was sick last year and we did not get to go.  I am looking forward to it!  It will be fun to see her with her classmates.  She has been practicing her song all week.  She will ask Jess to sing it with her and then gets upset when Jess sings the part she forgot.  It is so funny!

Today I thought I would share another item made with some of the new items from the upcoming Occasions catalog.  For this one used some of the washi tape that is part of the Botanical Gardens suite.  Washi tape is a great way to decorate a bag.  For my bag I used the gift bag.  These are great to put a large cookie in and give out.  See that cute bow paper clip?  That is also a new item in the catalog.  Aren't they cute?  To finish off the bag, I added some flowers punched using the Itty Bitty punch pack.  Here is my gift bag.

Thanks for visiting me today.  What plans do you have for today?  How about this weekend, what will you be doing?  Have a Fabulous Friday!

A Snow Pocket Letter

Hello Everyone!

Well I delivered the 70 chapsticks yesterday.  The recipient loved them.  I now have an order for 74 hand sanitizers in the school's colors.  I have some time as they are not needed until May.  I will make a sample and take in to her to see if she likes the colors after the new year.

My partner finally got her Snow Pocket Letter.  I did get pictures of the pockets but totally forgot the picture of the finished front and all the goodies in the back.  For this one I had a Snowflake ornament like on the Christmas pocket letter as well as a bead charm I made.  I also made a banner of mittens  that I strung across the front.  Here is a picture of the pockets.

I had a shaker card in this one.  It was the last pocket in the middle row.  I used ideas I found on the internet.

I also received my pocket letter for the words Merry Xmas.  In this swap we were all assigned a letter and we had to make 9 of the same pockets.  We sent them in and then the hostess sent back 1 of each letter for our pockets.  Here is the pocket letter for that swap.

I have enjoyed doing these pocket letter swaps and can't wait until after Christmas to do some more.  If any of you would like to do a pocket letter swap with me, let me know and we can set up something.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be mailing out my Secret Pal reveal box today.  I can't wait for her to get it.  Have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Mint Awesome

Good Morning Everyone!

Well I finished the chapstick holders and made a few cards yesterday.  I will be delivering the holders today and then I want to finish up my gifts for my secret pal.  I need to get that mailed out today also.  I am also working on a few things to share so I am ahead of the game for the holidays.

Today we have the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  Our colors this week were.

Stampin' Up color matches

I had no idea what to do with these colors but then I thought make a single color card.  I chose to use Mint Macaron and Whisper White.  I wanted to see what the Botanical Gardens vellum which is a new item in the Sale-a-bration catalog would look like with the back colored.  I used my marker and colored the back.  It did not turn out as good as I would have liked. so I need to play with it some more.  I then stamped the little flower from the Botanical Gardens bundle and used the framelits to cut it out.  I loved the new stamp set Botanicals For You in the Sale-a-bration catalog as the sentiments are so fun.  I used one on the bottom of my card.  Here is what I created with some new goodies.  Sorry the picture is so bad it was overcast when I took it.  I will retake them in the daylight and replace them.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies came up with using these colors?  Hop on over to Amanda's blog - Our Crafty Playdate to check out her creation.  I am sure it is fabulous!

Thanks for visiting me today!  I hope you are able to relax and enjoy the days before the holidays!  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Hand Stamped Texture

Hello Stampers!

Can you believe Christmas is next week?  It is fast approaching and will be here before we know it.  I have to find time to wrap some presents.  I did get Michaela's mailed today and it should be there by the end of the week.  Now I have to get mine wrapped when no one is around!

Today is the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Our challenge this time is a sketch challenge.

I decided to play with some new goodies from the upcoming Occasions catalog on this one today.  We have some great baker's twine.  They have a Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron mixed with black.  It is a very soft twine and easy to tie.  I wanted to use it for the tie element.  We also got a great stamp set with lots of grunge type stamps in it called Timeless Textures.  I stamped the flourish image in Crushed Curry for the square element.  I decided my strip across the bottom needed to be some of our new It's My Party designer series paper stack.  To finish it off I added some fun It's My Party enamel dots.  Here is what my finished creation.

Make sure you head over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see the other ladies interpretation of the sketch.  We would love to have you play along with us.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have a busy day today so I will be stealing a little bit of time to work on my chap stick holders.  Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Botanical Gardens Sketch

Hello Everyone!

Well I treated myself for my birthday yesterday!  I needed a new purse so Jess and I went out looking after the leggings show.  I saw this color and loved it.  It is so my color!  I looked at several others but I kept coming back to this one.  So Jess said it was the one I like the best and to get it.  Here is my new purse!

I also got 2 pair of leggings and 2 tops at the show yesterday.  I then stopped by Lowe's to arrange to have my new cooktop installed.  Even with all that I managed to spend some time in my craft room yesterday to make some cards for this week.

The first card I made was for the sketch challenge at Match the Sketch Challenge blog

I wanted to play with some more new items from the upcoming Occasions catalog.  I love the new Botanical Gardens suite.  I got all of the items.  On my card for today I used the new Botanical Gardens ds paper, Botanical Gardens jewels, Botanical Blooms stamp set, and the Botanical Builder Framelits dies.  Here is the card I made using those items.

I am taking Bijou to the spa today.  It is time for her to get cleaned up and trimmed up.   I also need to mail out my packages.  Then I will be working more in my craft room.

Thanks for visiting me today.  What plans do you have for today?  Have a Marvelous Monday!

Sneak Peek From the Upcoming Occasions Catalog

Hello Stampers!

Well I took some time yesterday to play with some of the new items in the upcoming Occasions Catalog.  I ordered a lot of the embellishments and ds paper but only a few stamp sets.  I wanted to see what I could make with what I have.  It was fun to play with some new items.

Today Jess and I are going to a LuLaRoe leggings party.  This is the latest rage in casual dress.  The only way to get them is to buy them from a reveal party.  The patterns and colors are limited so often a consultant will only get a few of each design.  I have a couple of these and love them.  They are comfortable and have some fun colors and patterns.  I don't know if I will get any today but it will be fun to see what they have.

For my card today I began with the sketch challenge at Nacho Average Challenges.

One of the papers in the upcoming catalog has some fun balloons on it.  I thought it would be fun to use it on this sketch and make a birthday card.  I used the patterned paper for the banner strip and mounted it on matching card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in matching ink and punched it out with a 1 3/4" circle punch.  I mounted it on a 2" circle punch.  Another item in the new catalog is a set of 3 mini punches.  I used 2 of the punches to make a little cupcake and candle to put in the lower right hand corner.  Here is a card I made using some of my new items.

Snow Pocket Letter from my partner

Good Morning Ladies!

Well I had a fabulous day yesterday.  I met my friend at the Crafts Festival and we walked around.  I did a little shopping.  I bought a few things for myself and a few gifts for others.  After we were done we went to the Mexican Restaurant and a great lunch.  We both headed home early to avoid the traffic on the beltway.

Today I am sharing the Snow pocket letter I received.  My partner created a great pocket letter.  She began her pocket letter by creating a background.  The red snowflakes are actually punch outs in the corners of the card in the pocket.  I love how she managed to get them lined up to create the snowflake in the middle of the 4 pockets.  After she had her background completed, she added some fun cutouts in key places on the front.  To finish it off she added lots of snowflakes on the outside of the pocket. The final touch was the beautiful snowflake ribbon she added around the edges.  Here is her pocket letter.

back of the pocket letter showing the goodies she sent me.

She sent me some fun ephemera in the pockets.  She had stamped some images to color, some sequin trim, a few fun paper clips, as well as some of the fun ribbon she used on the front.  Her letter explained her approach to creating the pocket letter as well as a little bit about herself.  I so enjoyed getting this pocket letter.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Have you done a pocket letter?  They are lots of fun.  Find a pal and arrange to swap with them.  It is lots of fun!  Have a Super Saturday!
