Black & White with a pop of color pocket letter

Hello Everyone!

Last night was crazy.  It was Zoie's birthday so we went out to dinner.  When we got home there was a fairy house and a letter for her.  The letter said the fairy would coming to live with Zoie soon and she needs her to do some things to set up her house.  She was so excited.  She could not stop talking and asking questions.  She was so funny as Jess could barely read the letter to her.  It is going to be exciting here over the next few weeks!  I loved seeing the excitement in her eyes!

Today I am sharing the Black and White with a pop of color pocket letter I created.  My partner who is in England received hers the other day so I can share my pockets.  I had asked her what her favorite color was and she said purple.   I created all my pockets with a black and white background and some element on the pocket was purple.

Here are my first 2 pockets.  The first pocket had my letter behind it.  I then created a shaker using my fuse tool.

The next 2 pockets used some glitter paper that I colored with her favorite color as well as a chipboard letter of her first name.  I colored it with her favorite color.  I also created a stick pin.

The next two pockets used a charm I had and a tag I created with lots of mini flowers.

The 7th and 8th pocket used the bow punch and some glitter tape as well as a flower I created.

The last pocket had a butterfly with glitter paper underneath.

I also included lots of goodies I picked up.  She said in England they do not have a nice selection of embellishments like we do.  I thought she might enjoy getting some fun embellishments as well as some punched items I had used on her pocket letter.  Here is the picture of the goodies I sent her.

She also sent me a cute pocket letter.  Here is her adorable pocket letter.  My favorite color is pink so she used pink on mine.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am hoping to spend lots of time in my craft room this morning and do some knitting this afternoon.  Have a Great Day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Framed Bloom

Hello Everyone!

Well yesterday I spent what little time I had working on cutting out Batman masks from black glitter paper with my Silhouette.  I am still working on the settings as it is not cutting all the way through.  Once I get it straight, I will be able to cut out 19 masks by pushing a button.  These will be the cupcake toppers for Zoie's cupcakes.  Then I have to cut out a bunch of bats so Jess can make a mobile.  Again I will use my silhouette.  Love this machine but there is a learning curve with it as I don't use it very often!

Today we have our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  We have some more Spring colors for you this week.  Aren't the colors in this picture gorgeous!

So I saw a great card in my Take Ten magazine that I knew the layout would be perfect.  I started working on it and I have to say, this was not a 10 minute card.  But when it was done it was ok as I loved the look.

I started by stamping my image onto white card stock.  Then I used a piece of Rose Red card stock the same size as my white and measured 1/4" in on all 4 sides.  I then used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut out the inside rectangle.  I mounted this onto the white card stock to form a frame around it.  I added a rectangle of Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz to the card base.  Then used dimensionals to add my framed flower.  The opposite corners have a rhinestone added.  To finish off my card I added some bakers twine.  Here is my finished creation.

Next stop on the hop is Joni's blog - Joni in the Spotlight Stamping.  I am sure she will have a great project for you!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be cutting out Batman masks, bats, and working on some cards today.  What are your plans?  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Fab Friday Leaves

Good Morning Stampers!

I got a lot done yesterday.  I took Bijou to the spa ~ she desperately needed a haircut.  I also cut all the paper and pulled my supplies for my workshop today.  I also managed to make 3 of my April Workshop cards.  I have the last one planned just need to make it.  I am hoping to make it today and then tomorrow I can finish up my video for my Paper Pumpkin alternative project as well as make some cards.  Tall order!  Oh and I just remembered I have to cut and make Zoie's cupcake toppers.  and then if Jess has anything else that has to be done for the party.

Today's card began with the sketch challenge at the Fab Friday challenge

When I was in California I was playing with my watercolor pencils.  I did an image from Remarkable You and as it turned out it fit this sketch.  I paired it with the Woodland textured embossing folder.  I decided to use my washi tape for the horizontal strips.  Here is my version of the sketch challenge.

Just for You

Good Morning Stampers!

Well yesterday was a quiet day.  I was able to create a video and a couple of cards.  I also have plans for another video today.  I am trying to get caught up with my Paper Pumpkins.  I was working on the February one yesterday and will do it today also.  Hopefully I can get it done by Wednesday and then work on March's.  I have a goal!

Today I am sharing a card that began with the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts

I thought these colors were very Spring-like.  I just had to play with them.  I then used a sketch at CAS Sketches & Colours

I loved the simplicity of this.  I saw a card online that I thought I would use for this but when I looked at the website the card I saw was already posted so I had to rethink my design.  I recently picked up a bunch of dies from a store that was closing.  I went looking at them and found one I could use.  I cut it out in 2 colors as I wanted my butterflies to be the pink.  I glued the pink ones on top of the green ones.  I then punched out my flowers and attached them to the bottom. I added the die cut out and the extra butterflies.  When it was done, it was missing something.  I decided to stamp and punch a sentiment.  I added to my card and it was complete.  Here is my creation.
