Global Stampers - Valerie

Happy Friday Everyone ~ today it is Valerie's turn for our Global Stampers challenge.

It has been raining her for 3 days.  I don't mind the rain as we need it but I don't like the dreariness!  I am hoping this weekend the weather will break.  I am also hoping that this weekend Jess will be better that I can spend some time in my craft room!

Valerie's card is such a pretty card as she focused on the pastels more than the Rich Razzleberry.  She masked off an area on her card front and did some emboss resist of the large paisley.  Then she stamped some of the other images from the set.  Her sentiment was colored with markers and then mounted onto the card front.  She finished it off by adding a stamped flower that she colored.  Here is here creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  We have one more lady in our group who's card I will share tomorrow.  Make sure you come back for it!  Have a Fabulous Friday and I hope you are enjoying our Global Stampers projects this month!

Global Stamper - Fiona

Hello Stampers ~ Are you ready for another project from the Global Stampers?

Well Jess is still struggling with the pain.  I am glad we are going to see the doctor today to make sure there isn't something else going on.  I have had Remi at night and it is very tiring.  I hope she gets better soon as the girls really miss her spending time with them.

Today it is Fiona's turn to share her project using Rich Razzeberry, Mint Macaron,
and Delightful Dijon.  Fiona created a one sheet wonder for a class she is planning.  She began with a sheet of Very Vanilla.   She then used the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and stamped the images in Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon. She then used the Lovely Lace embossing folder and a piece of Mint Macaron card stock to emboss it.  She used the debossed side of the Mint Macaron and attached it to her card base which was Mint Macaron also.  The Very Vanilla is layered onto some Copper Foil Sheet and attached to the card base.  Here is the fabulous card she created for our challenge this month.

Make sure you head on over to Fiona's blog and check out the other cards she made using the one sheet wonder as well as the sheet itself.  There are some great cards and a fabulous holder for them!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have to take Jess to several appointments as she cannot drive yet.  I am hoping to get some time to play in my craft room.  Have a Great Day!

Swirly Scribbles

Hello Ladies ~ You can use Swirly Scribbles to create all kinds of cards.

Well I did manage to make 2 cards yesterday.  Jess was sleeping and my workshop was over so I took advantage of the quiet time.  I am slowly working on October's posts.  I want to have October and November completed before I leave for California.  It will be interesting to see if I am able to get it done.

Today is our last Fall Coloring Down the Lines challenge.  Here is the picture that was our inspiration this week.

I was inspired by the apples in this picture and decided to go in that direction.  I pulled out my Swirly Scribbles thinlets and decided to use the circle for the apples.  After I had my apples I used the leaf framelits to create the leaves for the apples.  I then cut some strips for the stems.  I applied some Tombow Multipurpose glue to the backs and let it set.  After it had set, I attached my applies, stems, and leaves.  The only thing I needed was a sentiment.  I found the perfect one in Bunch of Blossoms.  I stamped it in the upper right hand corner and attached my layer to my Real Red card base.  My card was finished.  Here is my completed creation.

Now it is time to check out the other ladies and what inspired them from the picture.  Hop on over to Helen's blog - Blue Dahlia Designs .  I am sure she will have a great project for you.  Make sure you check out the other ladies also.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am hoping to be able to do some stamping today but not sure.  What plans do you have for today?  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and what would you create with the Swirly Scribbles thinlets?

Global Stamper Ann

Hello Everyone ~ Today I have a fabulous project from Global Stamper Ann!

Well yesterday was a wash for me.  I was so tired that I took a nap in the afternoon ~ something I never do.  I had Remi with me the night before and I did not get much sleep.  I will have her for the next few nights so I am sure I will be tired for a few days.  Jess is still struggling with a sore throat so I am hoping she will be better soon.

I am continuing with our Global Stampers Paisley hop.  Today I have Ann's projects to share.  I love how Ann used the colors on her 2 projects.  They really pop!  She actually created 2 cards.  Her first one is a simple card that would be great to receive in the mail.  Then she took the idea and created a stepped up version.  Either one would bring a smile to the receivers face.  Here is her first version.

Then she took the sentiment element, the ribbon, and the little flowers and created a second card that was a stepped up version.  She added more of the elements from the stamp set and a few leaves.

I have some of this paper and I will be using it to C.A.S.E. this idea.  I just love this card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have more projects to share with you later this week.  They are just as fabulous as this one is.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and head on over to Global Stamper Ann's blog to leave her a comment on how much you loved her card!

No Patterned Paper

Happy Monday Stampers ~ Ever wonder how to make a card and use No Patterned Paper?

Well Jess did not do well yesterday.  She had a rough night Saturday night and yesterday she said the pain was worse that it had been before.  She is taking her pain meds but I guess there is still a lot of pain involved.  I am hoping today will be a better day for her.

Our challenge today at Make My Monday is all about creating and not using patterned paper.  When I saw this I thought it would be an easy challenge.  But as I started working on it, the card just needed something.  So I decided to use an embossing folder on a background color to add some interest.  I pulled out my Large polka dot embossing folder and embossed a piece of Crushed Curry.  I attached it to a Whisper White card base and the started working on my other elements.  I used the images from the Spooky Fun stamp set and matching framelits.  I punched 2 Whisper White cirlces using 1 3/8" circle punch.  On one I stamped the ghosts from the set.  I then used the matching framelits to cut out the witch and the bats.  I stamped the moon on a piece of Crushed Curry and punched it out using the 1 3/8" punch.  I then punched out 3 Basic Black circles using the 1 1/2" circle punch.  I mounted the white and Crushed Curry circles onto the black.  I added these to my card base using dimensionals.  I added the witch and bats cut outs using glue dots.  I then stamped my sentiment and used the retired Word Window punch to punch it out.  It was added to my card base using dimensionals.  Here is my card that was created without patterned paper.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Make sure you check out the Make My Monday Challenge blog to see how the other ladies dealt with this challenge.  I am sure they did a fabulous job.  Have a Marvelous Monday and give the No Patterned Paper challenge a try!

Global Stampers

Good Morning Everyone ~ This week is our Global Stampers shares and wait until you see the cards I will be sharing!

Well Jess slept again most of yesterday.  She did get up and had some scrambled eggs a couple of times.  She is doing okay so I am thinking she will be better today but will relapse when the scabs start to fall off.

Today begins our week of sharing projects from other stampers around the globe.  I love working with these ladies as they are so talented.  You will agree when you see their projects later this week.  Our challenge this week was to use Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, and Rich Razzleberry.  If we had any of the items in the Paisley suite - stamp set, paper, embossing folder, or ribbon - we could use that also.

For my card I began with the colors and then added some of the dsp and ribbon.  I used an oval framelit to cut the edge of the card stock and then used that edge to cut the dsp.  I stamped the small flower from the stamp set using Delightful Dijon ink for a tone on tone look.  After I added my dsp panel I added a bow using the ribbon from the suite.  To finish it off I added a sentiment.  Here is my card for our challenge this month.

I can't wait to share the other cards the ladies created.  You will be amazed at the talent!  If you did not get any of this suite you are missing out!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am planning a class using this stamp set.  I have some great cards that are different than the ones we created.  Have a Sensational Sunday and make sure you come back to see more of the Global Stampers creations!

Twinkle Trees

Hello Stampers - I love Twinkle Trees at Christmas time!  Do you?

Well Jess did okay yesterday.  She slept a lot which I expected.  Today will be the big day as I am sure it will be rough.  I am hoping she sleeps a lot again today and if she does I will spend some time in my craft room.

Today I got the idea for my card from my Take Ten magazine.  I plan on using that magazine a lot over the next few days as I have to work ahead for the next 2 months since I have a lot going on.  I love that magazine to get layouts and ideas.

My card today began with the tag.  The original card had a tag on it so I used the idea and my Twinkle Tree stamp set to create my card.  I stamped the tree using Garden Green.  I then used Cherry Cobbler to stamp the swirls.  I mounted this panel onto my Cherry Cobbler tag.  I used some of the 1/4" natural trim with gold for the ribbon on the tag.  I tied a piece of 1/8" gold ribbon around the natural trim and tied a bow.  Now that my tag it made I needed to address the card base.  I used a piece of Very Vanilla to make the card base.  I attached a piece of This Christmas Specialty designer series paper as a layer.  I attached my completed tag to the right hand side using dimensionals.  I then used the Merriest Wishes stamp set for my sentiment.  I punched it out using the retired Duo Ticket punch.  To create my layer I used a piece of Cherry Cobbler and cut it a little bigger than the sentiment layer.  I used a retired corner punch to mimic the corners of the sentiment layer but you can do the same using a circle punch.  It was also attached to my card base using dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.
